ROCKSTAR RACING won the gruelling 2009 MONT 24 held at Sparrow Hill, after a hard fought battle with the consistently strong GU Team.  

After the disappointment of the SCOTT 24 in September 2008, ROCKSTAR RACING had something to prove and the boys didn’t disappoint. 

Over 450 teams lined up on Saturday 4th April to contest the race, but soon after the starters gun went off things looked shaky for the boys. Lap one saw the team down over five minutes due to a mechanical. he GU team used the mishap to their advantage.

For the next 12 hours both teams applied the pressure, and with the lead swapping back and forth there was no time to rest.  

But that’s racing! It’s what we were there for! 

The boys changed back to single laps, and the heat was turned up to white-hot! Quickly the lead increased and by one lap to go the gap had stretched out to nine minutes. The man machine Craig Gordon brought thingshome. After a gruelling 24hrs of neck and neck racing Craig crossed the line with a 12 minute advantage, putting 3 minutes into GU on the last lap.
