| Bringing XC back! |
|
It's been a quiet and low key start to the season for me. A mixed bag of illness and injury have seen an anchor being thrown prematurely overboard, leaving me floating aimlessly between mediocre form and none! With my greatest achievement so far being dodging swine flu; I decided to go "old school", racing some Western Sydney MTB club rounds and reviewing bakeries between Manly and the Blue Mountains. I found myself spending in excess of $25 at most Bakeries I stopped at. Whilst throwing back an iced coffee and a few traditional meat pies (with copious amounts of tomato sauce), I found time to reflect on what racing actually means to me. Going flat out! With word on the street that the NSW State XC Round 2 was being held at my favourite course at Ourimbah, I decided to dust off the full finger gloves and hit it up. With a few extra kilos on board, I found myself loving XC racing again.
Yee ha - good times! With the Rockstar crew representing around this sun burnt country from Alice Springs to Annandale, Woollahra to Wentworth falls - stay tuned for more random news and race results from anchor man Hamo. |

Hey, what's shaking?
With the spark reignited and some decent speed in the legs I posted a win.
